I just had meniscus repair surgery. Last few months i procrastinated a lot, due to injury, i gained nearly 10 kgs of weight. I aim to lose 10 now. As i can't do any cardio where my knee is to be moved, i found this video amazingly helpful. I hope to burn 600 calories per day by doing this exercise 10 times a day, according to my rough calculations. God bless you matt. Thanks a lot, may Jesus bless you abundantly ❤

Just found this video today. I had both my legs smashed to pieces a long, long time ago. Got pretty sedintary for awhile, but once I finally got the ability to stand up and walk back, I've been trying to take better care of myself. Still don't have a full range of motion, never will, but stumbling onto this video, even though it's five years old, it's a big help. Hope your Triathlons are still going well 👍

Matt, thank you. I tore a thigh muscle in a motorcycle mishap a few months ago. Can't run and shouldn't use my legs too much at the moment and so many upper body workouts I found rely heavily on the legs. Glad you posted this.

Hey Matt, I have a dynamic hip screw to treat a nof fracture. I can take some steps without crutches 3 weeks in. I’m keen to know when you stopped pain medication? I still really struggle in the night and only manage 4/5hrs sleep. I’m taking oxycodone for 3 weeks and would like to stop, however the pain is relentless and builds.

Hi Max, sorry to hear you're in pain. I forget how long I was on the pain medication yet don't think it was longer than a month. I think it'll be best to check in with your medical team to see what they recommend as I'm not medically trained. Best of luck with the recovery 👍

@@TriathlonMatt thanks Matt, I’m also an athlete / triathlete. I have run a 1:14:59 half marathon and completed an Olympic distance tri in 1:55 non drafting. I hope to come back to this in the medium term. How long did it take for you to get back to running? Did you have your hardware removed? I also broke my femur in a bike crash…. Thanks for your reply mate.

@@maxtheodore1249 those are fast times! It took about six months before I could begin a run / walk build up. I was lucky though as it was a fracture rather than full break. If it helps for inspiration I did a 1:30 half marathon pb post fracture. Though right now realign your training to what's most important right now - keep to the physio advice and build from there. Best of luck 💪👍

Hi guys . Jus wanted to share my story. I'm a 27ys old Male , active , managed to fracture my femoral head while ice skating , had a bad fall , it was non displaced and i got surgery next morning , DHS + anti rotator screw. I've been told to weight bear from secons day post surgery about 30% which i did , about 1 hour walk everyday . First scan after 4 weeks and 3 days showed very good healing and soft callus all around therefore i've been told to fully weight bear and go to the swimming pool if possible . Two days since i am fully weight bearing , i have 1 hour in the water walking and swimming and 1 hour of normally walking outside . It starts to feel more natural with very minimal limping after 10mins of walking . Have been told that there are no more restrictions and as much as walk as fast i get back to normal . Tought i might just share a positive story .
